01

Closing a telemetry data gap

Traced a roughly 10,800-device discrepancy between validation runs to a stale, six-month-old external GPS snapshot. Co-built an in-house pipeline that normalized schemas from five telematics vendors and captured 111,041 devices versus 96,785 in the external file—a 14.7% increase that removed the dependency on an outside team.

A more adaptable routing platform

Reworked the map view of RWC, an internal Django/OpenLayers platform used by 100+ employees. Replaced hover tooltips that caused disruptive map panning with reusable click-based popups and implemented independent, data-driven route filters so new filters require no additional logic.

03

Validation at station scale

Extended a Python GPS dispatch-validation pipeline across 614 stations with openpyxl reporting. Traced a 59-station vendor outage to a single device-ID prefix affecting 358 of 359 devices and confirmed recovery on the next run.

Operational visibility

Built an ArcGIS Online dashboard with service-area and station-level drilldowns, replacing a static Excel report and automating weekly refreshes so managers could review current GPS validation status.

01
C17 / POSIX

Mini Database
Engine

Built a single-file database engine from scratch in C17 with 4 KB pages, explicit binary serialization, a page cache, and an arbitrary-height B+ tree supporting full CRUD and O(log n) key lookups.

Implemented CRC-32 page validation, ordered fsync commits, a redo write-ahead log, idempotent requests, file locking, and multi-statement transactions; verified with 160+ tests, fault injection, randomized testing, and sanitizer-backed fuzzing.

Model-Routing
Code Agent

Built an LLM coding agent that executes multi-step software tasks through structured Read, Write, Delete, and Bash tools using an iterative tool-calling loop with runtime and execution limits.

Created an 18-task evaluation harness comparing three models across six task categories. The FastAPI and SQLite application persists conversations, handles provider fallback, explains routing decisions, and includes 62 automated tests.

Fly Plays
Pokémon

A Pokémon Showdown project built around a FlyWire-derived fruit-fly connectome. The model will encode battle states, propagate sparse neural activity through a biologically constrained network, and decode legal moves and switches.

The initial milestone is behavior cloning recorded Gen 1 OU decisions, comparing the connectome-constrained policy with control topologies, and visualizing battle and neural telemetry in a web interface.
